Guest Relations Manager

At The Yan at Broadrayne, we do things a little differently.
We are a 17th-century sheep farm turned award-winning bistro and accommodation business in the heart of the Lake District.

Guests arrive in muddy boots from the fells where they are greeted like old friends. We under sell and over deliver, that is why they return year after year.

We are now looking for a Guest Relations Manager to lead the team from Friday to Monday, our most exciting part of the week.

This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality, but wants genuine structure and work life balance, while still progressing their career, in a quality-led independent business.

What you’ll be doing

You will be the lead for our small close-knit team operationally across our peak times.

That means:

• Being a confident, visible presence across the farm

• Leading the team during high occupancy and busy periods

• Overseeing guest arrivals, departures and communications

• Managing booking systems, emails and phones

• Supporting evening service Friday to Sunday

• Handling guest issues calmly and professionally

• Communicating with senior leadership when decisions need support

This is a hands-on leadership role.
You will be on the floor, behind the desk, solving problems and protecting standards.

Weekends are where reputations are made. You will be trusted to protect ours, and we will support you strongly while you do.

What you’ll earn

• £14.10 per hour (approx. £32,994pa + tips)

• Equal share of tips

  • Last year this equated to approximately £6,000 per year extra for a 45-hour employee

  • Approx £2.70 per hour additional = approx £16.80 per hour or £38,994 per annum

• 45-hour contract, hourly paid and paid for every additional hour worked

PART TIME / FULL TIME GENERAL ASSISTANT

Grasmere, Lake District | Flexible 10 to 45 hours | £12.71 to £15.41 per hour inc tips | Live in available

Not into boring? Good. Neither are we.

This is a proper variety role. One shift you might be front-of-house, pouring wine and chatting to guests. Another, you are plating puds, doing prep, or helping turn around our boutique rooms. No two days are the same unless you want them to be.

We will shape the role around the right person.
