Wild flavours, expert know-how, and a show-stopping feast — Forage & Feast is the ultimate way to explore the Lake District’s edible landscape. Led by professional forager and founder of Forage Box, Jim Parums, this full-day wild food workshop blends immersive foraging with serious food-lovers’ rewards.

Over the course of 5 hours, guests will be guided on a gentle 2–3km circular walk, discovering edible plants, flowers, herbs, and more — all growing in the beautiful and varied habitats around Windermere. The session includes hands-on ID work, safety tips, tasting on the go, and conversations about sustainability, ethics, and the lost art of eating seasonally.

But the best bit? The grand finale: a wild-inspired feast to remember. Think freshly picked ingredients elevated into next-level plates, many of which are pre-prepared by Jim to allow guests to sit back, tuck in, and experience the full flavour of the day’s discoveries. Expect the unexpected — wild pesto, mushroom broths, devilled eggs with a twist, seaweed syrups, kombucha infusions, even bilberry-cured pigeon and wild sushi have made appearances on past menus.
