🎬 A Place We Call Home - Our New Brand Film by Al Topping
We’ve always said that The Yan isn’t just a place to stay … it’s a feeling. It’s the first sip of coffee with the fells still cloaked in morning mist. It’s muddy boots by the fire and dogs dozing by your feet. It’s a warm welcome and a well-poured cocktail after a long day on the trail.
And now, we’ve captured that feeling in a film.
This 3-minute film, shot and edited by the exceptional Al Topping, captures the soul of our place: the stillness of the fells, the warmth of the welcome, the laughter around the table, and the deep connection our guests feel when they arrive and when they return.
It’s more than a promotional video. It’s a story. One that honours our heritage as a former sheep farm and celebrates what we’ve become: a haven for walkers, food lovers, families, and four-legged friends alike.
Narrated by a calm and poetic voice, the film invites you into our world: from the rich heritage of our converted sheep farm to the cosy rooms, the food that feeds your soul, and the surrounding fells that call you to explore.
It brought all of us to tears. And we hope it stirs something in you too.
