New Year at The Yan
Finish the year somewhere worth remembering.
Three nights beneath the fells. Plenty of very good food. Fizz at midnight. Fireworks over Grasmere. And absolutely no need to worry about where you're eating, who's driving or how you're getting home.
Join us from 30th December to 2nd January for a fully catered New Year stay at Broadrayne Farm, where we'll take care of the food, the celebrations and everything in between.
All you need to do is arrive, settle in and decide how much fresh air you fancy before dinner.
30th December
Arrive. Unpack. Start as you mean to go on.
Check in from 3pm, with a welcome glass of fizz waiting to get things started.
Settle into your room, cottage or Lookout, stretch your legs around Grasmere or claim a comfortable corner and do very little at all.
That evening, we'll serve a relaxed three-course seasonal dinner in the Bistro.
Consider the warm-up complete.
New Year's Eve
The main event.
Start the day with a proper Yan breakfast before heading out into the fells, wandering into Grasmere or taking the tactical approach and conserving your energy for later.
Because later, we're going all in.
New Year's Eve is built around our seven-course tasting menu, with dish after dish from the kitchen, optional wine pairings and the sort of evening where nobody should be checking the time until midnight starts getting suspiciously close.
Then it's coats on, fizz in hand and outside to watch Grasmere's New Year fireworks light up the valley.
A pretty good way to see out the year, if you ask us.
New Year's Day
Start the year properly.
No alarms. No resolutions required.
Just a hearty Yan breakfast, fresh Lake District air and perhaps a Bloody Mary if the night before calls for one.
Spend the day walking straight from the farm, pottering around Grasmere or doing absolutely nothing productive.
We'll have another three-course seasonal dinner waiting for you that evening.
Because January diets can wait until the 2nd.
2nd January
One last breakfast.
We'll send you home after a final proper breakfast, hopefully well-fed, well-rested and feeling a little smug about how you chose to spend New Year.
No taxi queues. No long drive after midnight. No sad takeaway on New Year's Day.
Just pack up and head home when you're ready.
